RAVENNA -- A driver trying to flee police caused a lockdown at Ravenna High School Friday morning.
According to police, an officer tried to stop the 19-year-old for a traffic violation on North Chestnut Street.
The driver failed to stop and fled to the high school. That's where he and two passengers, ages 18 and 19, ditched the car and ran inside the building.
The school went into lockdown until the three could be located, identified and detained.
Police have charged the driver with failure to comply and inducing panic. According to police he had an outstanding warrant for disorderly conduct.
The incident remains under investigation and police say additional charges could be filed.
