GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Police in Garfield Heights  say a stand off on Grace Avenue is over.

The incident started as a 9-1-1 call about a break-in at the house. While on the phone, the dispatcher heard gunfire.

When officers arrived, they reportedly heard two more shots.

Four people, including two children, were taken from the scene by ambulance, reports at the scene say.

There is no official word on their conditions, but the children were said to have appeared uninjured.

Officials thought whoever fired the shots might have still been inside the home.

When police entered the home later Wednesday morning, they found it to be empty.

Officers from Garfield Heights, Cuyahoga Heights and Maple Heights, as well as SWAT  all on the scene.
