Tigers bats too much for Tribe

Detroit, MI - Miguel Cabrera hit a two-run homer and Brennan Boesch hit an RBI double and scored twice as the Detroit Tigers beat the Cleveland Indians, 7-5, on Thursday afternoon at Comerica Park.

Prince Fielder, Delmon Young and Don Kelly also drove in runs for the Tigers, stopping a three-game skid and a five-game losing streak against the Indians. 

Casey Crosby (1-1) gave up three runs on five hits over 5 1/3 innings for his first career win.

Jose Valverde picked up his 10th save of the season.

Asdrubal Cabrera and Jose Lopez each drove in a pair of runs and Jason Kipnis scored twice for the Indians.

Derek Lowe (7-4) got the loss and gave up seven runs on nine hits in five innings.
