CLEVELAND -- The United States Coast Guard searched overnight Monday for a vessel that broadcasted a mayday call.

The distress call came in at about 11 p.m. Sunday night, a Coast Guard spokesman said.

They were able to narrow the location down to the area off the coast between Rocky River and Bay Village early Monday morning.

The circumstances surrounding the distress call are unclear.
