WILLOUGHBY -- The Eastlake mother charged twice with child endangering changed her original not guilty plea to guilty Tuesday.
Mindy Sotak, 29, pleaded guilty to child endangerment and driving under the influence.
The guilty plea was in exchange for other charges being dropped in the case and a separate incident involving her son and the family dog.
In exchange for the guilty plea to OVI and one count of child endangering, all other charges in both cases were dismissed.
She appeared before Willoughby Municipal Court Judge Harry Field. Each charge carries a sentence of up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Field has not set a sentencing date.
Sotak's first offense was on May 1, when she was arrested at her home on East 349th Street. Police say she was inside the home and appeared intoxicated and did not know her three-year-old son was being pinned down by the family dog.
On May 19, Sotak was arrested at the Eastlake Walmart for driving drunk and hitting a car in the parking lot.
