FAIRPORT HARBOR -- The Coast Guard rescued 3 Tuesday night from their burning boat at the mouth of the Grand River near Fairport.

All three were not injured and were wearing life jackets.

There was a report of a fire onboard the 20-foot open cabin boat around 7 p.m.

The fire had already been put out by the time the Coast Guard arrived but the three were taken to shore.

The boat was towed to port and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
