CLEVELAND -- Police have reopened Woodland Avenue at E. 63rd Street late Wednesday night after a semi spilled some diesel fuel near the sewer.

HAZMAT was on the scene.

Police tell Channel 3 News that the semi caught a sewer cap and one of the metal rims on the cap pierced the diesel fuel tank.

The semi driver drove about another 100 feet and fuel spilled all over the street.

Police and HAZMAT officials do not think the fuel went into the sewer but the roadway was a mess.

There were no injuries.

Police say the semi was going to go back to their company so they could repair the tank and a city crew was called in to repair and replace the sewer lid.
