CLEVELAND -- An attempted robbery on Cleveland's west side left one woman shot and a man beaten early Monday morning.
The gunshot victim told police that she and the man were assaulted in an attempted robbery near West 73rd Street and Colgate Avenue.
She was shot in the leg and later taken to MetroHealth Medical Center.
The man was found beaten up in an alley down the street.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers assisted Cleveland Police at the scene.
