Akron: Worker accused of stealing $71K worth of jewelry

AKRON -- A 24-year-old Akron woman has been charged with grand theft for allegedly stealing more than $71,000 worth of jewelry from her employer over the course of several months.

Akron Police say Luella Conley is accused of stealing from Sterling Jewelers in the 300 block of Ghent Road for four or five months.

Around 5 p.m. on June 25, police met with Sterling Jewelers loss prevention officers who reported the alleged crimes.

Conley has been booked into the Summit County Jail.
