Cleveland: All five priests to pull double duty

Bishop Richard Lennon has announced the appointments of five pastors for parishes soon to reopened by the Diocese of Cleveland.

All five of the priests who were announced will work for two different churches.

The parishes are among 11 originally closed in 2009 but then reopened through a Vatican appeal.

The appointments are as follows:

• Reverend Gary Chmura has been appointed Pastor of St. Adalbert parish in Cleveland effective Monday, 2 July 2012.

• Reverend A. Jonathon Zingales has been appointed Pastor of St. John the Baptist parish in Akron effective Monday, 2 July, 2012.

• Reverend Eric Orzech has been appointed Pastor of St. Casimir parish in Cleveland effective Monday, 9 July 2012.

• Reverend Joseph Hilinski has been appointed Pastor of St. Barbara parish in Cleveland effective Monday, 16 July, 2012.

• Reverend Joseph Workman has been appointed Pastor of St. James parish in Lakewood effective Monday, 23 July 2012.

According to the Diocese, each pastor will determine the date for the opening Mass for his parish. Appointments of the pastors for six remaining parishes which are to be opened will be forthcoming.
