MEDINA -- An elderly couple was found dead by a relative Saturday night in what appears to be a murder-suicide.
Police were called to the home at 11:35 p.m. by a family member who was checking on the couple and discovered a note in the house. A 72-year-old man and 69-year-old woman each suffered from a gunshot wound.
Apparent frustation over their failing health may have led to the couple's death. Police believe the note was written by the woman.
A firearm was found on the bed, lying between the man and his wife. Police also collected additional evidence from the scene.
An autopsy will be performed by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office.
