SAGAMORE HILLS -- Fire crews responded to an area near Brandywine Falls after five people, two adults and three children, became stranded while on a hike.
Fire crews received the call around 4:10 p.m. Sunday and quickly responded to the scene.
After locating the group, firefighters used ropes to reach them and pull them to safety.
A spokesperson for the Northfield Center-Sagamore Hills Fire District says the group was hiking near the falls and hiked down an enbankment. They quickly found they were unable to return to the top.
All five people have been pulled back to the top of the cliff and were unharmed.
