Despite a few rounds of severe storms, conditions are still exceptionally dry in Northeast Ohio.

The deepening drought means extra precautions are being taken for fireworks displays this week as we commemorate Independence Day.

The City of Fairlawn will celebrate with fireworks under the watchful eyes of firefighters.

While in Parma, firefighters say they are more worried about residents lighting bottle rockets and other fireworks in this dry weather.
