The first happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday as a 23-year-old man was shot in the head while sitting on his neighbor's porch in the 1100 block of Herman St.
According to police, the victim said he was with two other males on the porch when a dark blue minivan pulled up in front of the house. That's when a passenger got out of the van, walked up in the front yard and yelled "Hey" before firing several shots.
The victim was taken to Akron General Medical Center with injuries that are said to be minor.
The suspect's description is vague.
The second incident happened at 2 a.m. Saturday outside of a bar in the 300 block of East Glenwood Ave.
Police say a 34-year-old man was shot in the leg while waiting in the parking lot of the bar. He was taken to Akron City Hospital with injuries that are said to be non-life threatening.
The victim was unable to provide a description of the suspect.
