Seventy-five-mile-an hour winds ravaged Catawba Island Sunday.

Clean-up crews are busy removing the 250 downed trees and restoring gas and electric service.

Residents say the wind was so loud they couldn't hold a conversation in their own homes. Hail the size of tennis balls was reported.

There were no injuries as a result of the storm but a lot of close calls.

The storm hit around the dinner hour and lasted only minutes. The path was a half-mile wide and five miles long.
