CLEVELAND -- A house fire on Cleveland's west side may have started due to dry lawn conditions.
A fire that broke out after 12:30 a.m. Tuesday was initially reported as a fire in a back yard on West 54th Street, near Clark Avenue.
Flames quickly spread and the fire was upgraded to a triple two-alarm fire.
The house was a vacant duplex and firefighters were extra cautious to prevent the spread of the flames given the dry ground around it.
There is no official word on a cause of the fire. No injuries were reported.
