ROCKY RIVER -- There's a local effort in the fight to end an often deadly childhood disease -- glioma, a type of brain tumor found in children.

The 'Prayers from Maria' Foundation will hold a wine festival in Rocky River to raise money for research.

We were joined Thursday by Ed McNamara. The 'Prayers from Maria' foundation was named after his daughter, Maria, 7, who died from a terminal brain tumor in 2007.

There is no cure for what she had and this foundation has raised $200,000 in grants for research.

It is the second highest cause of cancer deaths in young people.
