On Thursday morning, Mother Nature's wrath was aimed mostly at the west side suburbs.
Bay Village neighbors said "you could see the trees like sideways practically."
That was around 6:30 a.m.
Neighbors said then they heard a slight hissing noise and then a boom.
Two oak trees sheared off, right into the front of a Wolf Road home. Nearby on Osborn Road, an RTA bus got wrapped up in a live power line. Thankfully, everyone got off safely.
A 20-foot branch hit Harry May's bed in Sheffield Lake, a little more than a hour after he left for work.
On the east side, at E. 147th Street and Kinsman Road, lightning stuck a tree, and it exploded like a firecracker.
These storms happen throughout the summer.
