SANDUSKY -- The screams oozing from thrillseekers on roller coasters at Cedar Point will be mixed with loads of fans singing along with Carly Rae Jepsen as the "Call Me Maybe" singer takes over the Sandusky amusement park this weekend.
Jepsen is scheduled to take the Luminosity stage at Cedar Point's new Celebration Plaza near the Iron Dragon roller coaster Saturday, July 7.

Her free performance will begin after a dance-off competition, which goes from 5-7 p.m.
"Luminosity is all about creating a buzz throughout the park with dancing, contemporary music and surprises that bring a new energy onto the midway when the sun goes down," Cedar Point General Manager and Vice President John Hildebrandt said in a press release. "Bringing in a magnetic performer like Jepsen will really add to that excitement."

Jepsen, 26, recently signed to Justin Bieber's label, but has built a following in Canada since her 2007 run on "Canadian Idol."
Her music video has more than 142 million views on YouTube since it was released in March.
It is also one of the most parodied videos with fans posting their own goofy renditions online -- most notably the Harvard baseball team's widely duplicated arm dancing in a van, which has been viewed more than 14 million times on YouTube since it was posted in May.
Luminosity, Cedar Point's new live show, will begin shortly after Jepsen's performance.
Luminosity made its official debut at Cedar Point on June 8.
Cedar Point removed the WildCat roller coaster prior to opening for the 2012 season to make room for Celebration Plaza and Luminosity.
