LAKEWOOD, Ohio -- A car went airborne, flipped and crashed along the Cleveland Metroparks Valley Parkway in Lakewood during an apparent police chase early Tuesday morning.

At about 3:46 a.m., Lakewood Police responded to a call for a Porsche Carrera that went airborne near the Commodore Club Apartments, where Detroit Road dead ends. The car did not stop at the dead end and flew down into the valley and across the road in the Cleveland Metroparks.

Two people were pulled from the crash. One was thrown from the car and taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. The other was pinned inside the car, rescued and taken to Fairview Hospital.

Their conditions are not known.

Police are not releasing any information, but a witness says the chase started as a traffic stop. The car then allegedly fled from police and went over an embankment.
