Chilling 911 call released in Alliance murder investigation

 ALLIANCE -- A chilling 911 call has been released in the investigation into a woman's death in Alliance.

Around 1:30 a.m. this morning police received a call from an apartment on S. Arch Street. During the 911 call, the man told dispatchers calmly, "I just strangled my girlfriend."

Police have arrested Randy P. Ring, 58, in the homicide of Willa J. Taylor-Hillman, 48.

Ring has been charged with murder and is being held in the Stark County Jail. He's scheduled for arraignment on July 11.

Police say according to their investigation, Ring was staying with Taylor-Hillman when the two got into an argument. Ring was taken into custody without incident.

According to police records, Ring has a previous arrest on June 10 for domestic violence out of Columbiana County involving Taylor-Hillman.
