Akron: Two trains collide causing derailment

Akron -- Two trains, traveling on the same track, collided early Thursday morning.

It happened under the Mill Street Bridge.

A CSX spokesperson says one train was traveling from Portsmouth, Virginia to Northwest Ohio and the second train was traveling from Pennsylvania to Ohio.

The trains were on the same track when they collided.

The derailed cars were empty.

No one was hurt.

CSX investigators are trying to figure out what happened.

The Federal Railroad Administration and other agencies may be called into investigation the crash.
