FAIRFIELD COUNTY -- Deputies responding to a domestic call at a Fairfield County home found a pen they say was being used to confine a 4-year-old girl.

While processing the complaint at the home in Lancaster, deputies observed a lower bunk bed with mesh wrapped around it used to confine the child, according to a report.

The report also stated that the pen had an access door with a screen-door hook and sliding deadbolt lock.

The parents of the child, Russell D. Terry, 34, and Jamie M. Curnell, 32, were both charged with kidnapping and child endangerment.

Terry and Curnell are both currently incarcerated in the Fairfield County Jail and are being held on a $500,000 bond.

The incident is under investigation.
