CLEVELAND -- Police responded to a Wheelock Avenue address for a man with a gunshot wound Saturday around 9:40 p.m.
When police arrived, they found Quentin Odnell, 33, who reported that he had been shot about a half hour earlier.
Odnell told police he was standing on the corner of E. 105th Street and St. Clair Avenue when a man pulled up next to him driving a dark sedan. The driver asked for a "light." Odnell told the man no.
That's when the rear door of the car opened. A light-skinned man got out of the car and approached Odnell, who began to run. A short time after, Odnell heard gunshots, felt pain and saw blood on his shoe. He'd been shot.
He proceeded to his home where he then called police. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.
Police continue to investigate the incident but have no suspects at this time.
