CLEVELAND -- Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead may be gone, but his legacy is living on as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum has scheduled a full weekend of events surrounding the band.

The special weekend takes place from Friday, August 3 through Sunday, August 5, which are three days sandwiched between what would have been Garcia's 70th birthday (August 1) and the 17th anniversary of his death (August 9).

In addition to a special Friday night concert with 7 Walkers, the band of former Grateful Dead drummer and inductee Bill Kreutzmann, the weekend also includes special screenings of films surrounding the band.

List: A look at all 279 Rock Hall inductees

Anyone who attends the 7 Walkers show will also receive a discount coupon for $5 off regular adult admission to tour the museum on Saturday or Sunday.

The first 150 visitors to the Rock Hall on Saturday will receive a limited edition exhibit opening laminate.

Saturday, August 4, is also a Rock Hall Member Appreciation Day. Members will enjoy special activities throughout the morning while experiencing Grateful Dead Weekend festivities.
