It's one of the projects expected to bring more activity, business and energy into a revitalized downtown Cleveland.

The Medical Mart/Convention Center is more than two-thirds built. And the $465 million dollar project's coming in ahead of time and at or under budget.

The Medical Mart concept of a showcase/showplace for health care products is evolving.

A big goal now is to get big companies to collaborate to exhibit the products together in the approporaite futuristic environment.

Education as well as conventions will be a component of activity that takes place there.

Conventions and exhibitors are being booked.  About 40 percent of the space is spoken for.

MMPI, the firm behind the project, is meeting with an advisory board of health care companies to design a facility that meets their needs.

News reports about a lack of connected parking is raising some concerns.

And a rival project in Nashville is still making some headway.

What are the expectations and concerns for the project? Will it deliver what's expected? How will a giant park enhance the project and have value to the public?

Tom Beres discusses these questions with Channel 3 Political Analysts Dennis Eckart and Mary Anne Sharkey and MMPI Vice President Jim Bennett on this edition of Between the Lines.
