SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP -- Highway Patrol troopers received an anonymous tip call Wednesday regarding the vehicle involved in the fatal hit-skip accident that killed Anthony Weakland, 16, on Tuesday.
Troopers said Ohio State Highway Patrol investigators followed up on the call which "led to the recovery of a suspect vehicle from a home in Portage County."
Troopers said there has not been a confirmed identity of the driver of the suspect vehicle at the time of the accident.

Troopers are investigating the death of Weakland about 9 p.m. Tuesday when he was struck by a car that drove off.
According to the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office, Weakland, of Springfield Township, was walking eastbound on Albrecht Avenue, just a mile from his house, when he was struck by a vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. According to troopers, Weakland, who was walking with a friend, was struck from behind.
Troopers found additional clues at the scene Wednesday, like small pieces of glass and pieces of windshield wipers.
