AKRON -- Travel will be tighter on Route 8 North between Perkins Street and Howe Avenue through Tuesday night.
ODOT has announced that the roadway will be reduced to two lanes for resurfacing from 7 p.m. Monday (July 23) through 8 p.m. Tuesday (July 24).
Throughout the weekend, ODOT had Route 8 North down to just one lane of travel from Friday night through Sunday evening between E. North Street and Howe Avenue.
The work is part of a $4.3 million project to resurface Route 8 between the Central Interchange and the northern Akron corporation limit.
The entire project is slated to be complete by mid-November.
