EASTLAKE -- Multiple fire departments responded to a house fire on Traymore Boulevard where a fire started just before 3 p.m. Monday.

Contractors were working in a home on Traymore near Lake Shore Boulevard.

A Channel 3 News crew on the scene says that two of the contractors were treated at the scene for second-degree burns.

The crew was also told that a resident jumped from a second-floor window and was taken to the hospital, then taken by helicopter to another hospital.

The crew was told that contractors were working in the kitchen with some type of instrument resembling a blowtorch. There was a loud "pop" and then the kitchen went up in flames.

The fire was brought under control about 3:45 p.m. and at least six fire departments from surrounding cities were called for mutual aid due to the high heat that quickly exhausted firefighters.

Traymore Boulevard was closed and will remain closed until further notice.
