CLEVELAND -- The first six months at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium have been a swimming success.
Since the attraction opened on Jan. 21, officials say 265,000 guests have splashed in.

Kayla Ott, marketing manager for the aquarium, says the attendance numbers are ahead of their projections.
"We are so grateful for the response from the community," Ott says. "We anticipate finishing the year at around half a million guests."

More than 64,000 people visited the aquarium within its first month, including the more than 16,000 guests during opening weekend.
The aquarium is located in the FirstEnergy Powerhouse at 2000 Sycamore St.
Admission prices are $21.95 per adult or $15.95 for children ages 2-12. Annual passes are also available for $50 per adult, $90 per couple or $130 per family (two adults and two children).
Parking is $3 Monday-Friday and $5 Saturday-Sunday.
