WESTLAKE -- A Westlake man is facing charges after being pulled over by police twice in a matter of hours on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Police first arrested the 22-year-old for OVI at 2:37 a.m. on July 22 on Columbia Road after another driver tipped them about the man's erratic driving.
At the Westlake jail, police say the man gave a breath sample of .144 which automatically leads to a license suspension. Police charged him with BAC, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and failure to drive in marked lanes. The man was released to his girlfriend.
Police then stopped the same driver again at 5:24 a.m. on Hilliard near Crocker Road and arrested him for OVI. The driver had taken his girlfriend's car without permission. He was additional charged with BAC (.098), driving under suspension, speeding and improper left turn.
