Friends of Michael Morgan grew up with him in Cleveland and spent a lot of time in Hermon Park.
At a community gathering in the park on Tuesday they remembered his life and the good times they once shared. Morgan's live came to a tragic end just days ago just blocks from the park.
Morgan was walking on West 83rd last Monday to visit a friend in his old neighborhood. But around 11 p.m. a witness reported hearing yelling and fighting.
Police arrested Charles Harris and Marvin Robinson and charged them with beating Morgan, a 53-year-old father of three to death on the sidewalk.
Out of the tragedy, Morgan's family takes comfort in knowing that he still lives on through organ donation. Five lives were saved because of him.
"He was such a good natured-person, I hope that they get a little bit of him in their lives. I hope he shows through," said his brother, Jeff Morgan.
Four of the people saved were from Cleveland. A fifth was saved in Indiana.
