CLEVELAND -- Two men atop scaffolding on the Anthony J. Celebrezze federal building had to be rescued about 7 p.m. Thursday after high winds slammed them into building.
The Cleveland Fire department tells a Channel 3 News crew on the scene that two men were working on the scaffolding on the north side of the building when gusts of wind began slamming the scaffolding into the glass windows.
The building is undergoing $121 million in renovations.
The scaffolding began shattering windows. Firefighters went inside the building and broke out two windows to reach the two men clinging onto the scaffolding.
The two were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for cuts and bruises but no serious injuries.
