CLEVELAND -- The Cuyahoga County Coronor's Office has now confirmed that one male is dead, after a car drove into a crowd during a festival on Clifton Boulevard.
Four others were also injured in that incident. It happened just after 7 p.m. while the "Dancin' in the Streets" festival was taking place.
Clifton was barricaded at West 117th Street near the location of the festival. A vehicle traveling eastbound on Clifton Avenue struck the barricade, and drove into a tented area where a crowd was gathered.
The vehicle struck five people.
The victims were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
No word on the name of the victim who died. Channel 3 News initially reported that two of the victims were critically injured.
The driver of the vehicle was placed under arrest. There is no further information at this time.
