LORAIN, Ohio -- The Interstate 80 West exit ramp to State Route 57 North is back open after an earlier chemical spill was found as not hazardous early Monday morning.
A truck leaked a small amount of hexylene glycol, a chemical used in cosmetics and perfumes. Officials say the substance is not harmful.
The truck was towed from the scene and traffic allowed to exit.
The spill was reported just before 2:30 a.m.
The ramp was back open before 4 a.m.
