STRONGSVILLE, Ohio -- Two separate road closures in Strongsville are making for a more difficult morning commute in the southwest Cuyahoga County suburb this morning.
The first started at 3 p.m. Wednesday when a truck took down some electrical wires, bending a utility pole on Howe Road. Howe Road is closed from Royalton Road (State Route 82) to Drake Road because of it.
Plus, Drake Road is closed near Howe Road because of a water main break in the area.
Commuters should avoid these areas whenever possible. Police have posted detour signs if drivers to travel into the area.
The fire station at Drake and Howe will be affected by the closures. Officials are working on alternate routes for individual calls. There are stations in each of the city's four corners.
