CLEVELAND -- The National Weather Service confirms a tornado touched down in Trumbull County Sunday afternoon.
The EF0 twister struck from Girard to Liberty Township between 2:35 and 2:45 p.m. Winds were estimated at 60 to 70 m.p.h.
The storm tracked east, northeast at approximately 25 m.p.h. and was in contact with the ground intermittently during its 3 mile path.
The National Weather Service storm survey team found the path to be about 25 yards in width. Most of the damage was confined to trees, but at least 4 cars were damaged by falling trees.
Some minor damage was also observed to roof tops, chimneys, signs and out buildings.
