WICKLIFFE -- While posting bond for a friend, two men are arrested in the Wickliffe police station for an alleged Eastlake burglary.
Just after 8:30 p.m. Monday, two men were at the Wickliffe police station posting bond for a woman and ended up behind bars themselves.
Brian Peltz, 35, and Robert McNeil, 34, are accused of breaking into a business on Lakeland Boulevard in Eastlake and stealing more than $1,000 right before they went to the Wickliffe police station.
Police said that, through interviews of witnesses, it was learned one man had a girlfriend in a neighboring city jail.
A call to the Wickliffe police department was made and officers there promptly arrested the men on the Eastlake charges as they were standing in the station lobby.
Peltz is charged with breaking and entering and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, while McNeil is charged with complicity to breaking and entering.
Both were held without bond.
