ASHLAND, Ohio - Two children were injured in a crash involving two vehicles and a buggy Wednesday evening in the 800 block of Ohio 545, the Mansfield News Journal reports.

The crash happened at 5:27 p.m.

Kevin Crawford, 33, of New London, was northbound when his vehicle struck a buggy in the rear, according to the Ashland County Sheriff's Office. Fannie Miller, 24, was driving the buggy with passenger Esther Keim, 2.

Crawford's vehicle went left of center and struck a southbound Jeep driven by John Hines, 45, of Ashland. Hines' Jeep went off the road and flipped. His passenger, Kaitlynn Hines, 10, was taken to Samaritan Hospital in Ashland, which had no record of her Wednesday night.

Esther Keim was flown by medical helicopter to an undisclosed hospital.

Alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the crash, which is under investigation.
