CLEVELAND -- A Cleveland Municipal Court Bailiff and a Clerk of Courts employee have been indicted on charges of theft in office and tampering with records.

According to a release from the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor, the two are accused of keeping approximately $5,000 in fines and court costs.

Glenn Webb, 53, of Cleveland, and Aisha Muhammad, 50, of Euclid were charged following a police investigation.

Prosecutors allege the defendants took money from traffic court violators and minor offenders between January 30, 2009 and June 7, 2010 and did not turn the money over to the court system. Prosecutors say the record would then be altered to state the fees had been dismissed.

Muhammad was indicted on eleven additional counts of tampering with records for each person's record that was altered.
