CLEVELAND -- Cleveland firefighters were busy fighting house fires early Monday morning.
The first was on Philetus Avenue on the city's east side, at about 2 a.m. The house was abandoned, and nobody was injured.
Crews focused on protecting neighboring houses from the blaze.
Another home caught fire on Jesse Avenue, also on the east side, at about 4 a.m. This time, a family escaped the fire, but lost their home.
Nobody was injured in the Jesse Avenue fire.
Both fires are under investigation.
