AKRON -- Brawls at two Akron area bars have led to injuries.
On Saturday, just before midnight police were called to a South Main Street bar after a man said he was attacked with a hammer.
According to police, the victim was arguing with another man when the suspect grabbed a hammer and struck the victim in the head. The victim had to be treated for injuries to his face and head at the hospital.
No arrests have been made.
In a separate incident, police were called to a bar on East Market Street after a fight broke out on August 10. The victim says he was attacked by two other men. The victim says at first he was punched, then the suspects threw beer bottles.
Two Akron men have been booked into the Summit County Jail on felonious assault in connection with the fight.
