BRECKSVILLE -- About 150 Brecksville-Broadview Heights teachers gathered outside the district administration offices Monday evening, promising not to strike if the school district promises not to implement contract without a vote.
District administrators had scheduled a 6 p.m. special meeting with an executive session to discuss how to proceed with negotiations but that meeting was canceled.
The agenda for that special meeting consists of an executive session to 1) Review negotiations or bargaining sessions with public employees concerning their compensation or other terms and conditions of employment and 2) to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, or compensation of a public employee.
Teachers gathered at 5:45 p.m. outside the Education Center on Mill Road.
Because the special meeting was canceled, teachers are now delivering their proposal to individual board members' homes this evening.
