BRECKSVILLE -- Union members drew up a pledge promising not to strike if the school board promised not to implement a contract they didn't vote on.
After members rallied at the administration building, small groups delivered copies of the proposal to the homes of board members.
The wife of school board president David Tryon called the police.
There were no arrests. They are no closer to a contract with school starting in just two weeks.
"I would expect them to be excited and looking forward to their future yet it's kinda unknown what will happen," parent Colleen Carter said.
"The uncertainty is not great to live with. I play sports so I'm not sure we're going to have a season this year," student Allison Loughner said.
The Board president did not respond to our questions nor the union's proposal. The next negotiations are scheduled for Thursday.
