AKRON -- Authorities are searching for a man who allegedly fled the scene of a house fire Monday evening.

Akron Police say 30-year-old Carl Robinson is wanted on charges of aggravated arson, illegal manufacturing of methamphetamines and illegal possession of chemicals.

Investigators reportedly recovered acids, nitrates, Coleman fuel and other items commonly used to make methamphetamines at the scene of the house fire in the 1100 block of Ivor Avenue.

The homeowner was not present when authorities responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m., but police say that Robinson, the homeowner's grandson, fled the house prior to their arrival.

No injuries were reported with the fire, but damages are estimated at $20,000.

Akron Police say Carl Robinson is  6'7" tall, 175 lbs, with brown hair and green eyes.
