GREEN -- A 50-year-old man who was hurt in a dune buggy crash Sunday night has died.

Authorities say Mark Campbell was driving the vehicle with a 10-year-old boy as a passenger on private property in the 3800 block of Massillon Road when he lost control and struck a tree around 7:20 p.m.

Both were taken to area hospitals -- Campbell with life-threatening injuries and the boy with serious injuries. The boy's name and current condition were not reported.

According to the Summit County Sheriff's Office, Campbell, of Green, died Wednesday from the injuries he sustained in the accident.

The Summit County Sheriff's Office, which is investigating the accident, says alcohol is suspected as a factor in the crash.
