Cleveland: Morning shooting leaves one dead

CLEVELAND -- Two people were shot, one of them fatally, while walking a dog early Saturday morning.

Police say the victims were in the 7000 block of Hecker Avenue when three unknown individuals with guns approached and tried to rob them.

Police responded to the scene around 4 a.m. and found a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest. He later died at MetroHealth Medical Center.

The second victim, a 22-year-old man, was shot in the arm and taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.

Police have arrested two people in connection with the incident. Maurice Golden, 20, of Euclid, and O'Neal Crenshaw, 35, of Cleveland, have been charged with aggravated murder.

They are both scheduled to appear in court Monday at 8:30 a.m.
