CONCORD TOWNSHIP -- Twenty lucky semifinalists have had their tickets drawn from more than 63,000 entries by Lake County Sheriff Dan Dunlap for their chance to win the Lake County YMCA 2012 Dream House.
The winners are Ronald and Lynda Herzberger of Parma, Ohio.
The couple has been married for 18 years. The only contest they've ever won prior to the dream home was when they won a camcorder.
They say this is their first year buying a ticket.
Ronald is retired from the Cleveland Clinic, and Lynda still works there. They were shocked and surprised but thanked God for the win.
Ronald and Lynda were thirteenth out of twenty finalists who tried a key in the front door of the dream home.
The home, on Dobbins Way, has a value of about $400,000, including decorating, furnishings and landscaping.
Tickets were $13 each and 20 semifinalists were chosen Aug. 15.
The winner could also choose the cash option of $200,000, which would be paid on Dec. 15.
Proceeds from the ticket sales help the Lake County YMCA provide facility and equipment enhancements for all the branches of the Lake County YMCA.
