CLEVELAND -- Cleveland police are making recommendations for Browns fans as they head down to the stadium for Friday night's pre-season home opener against the Eagles.

Fans are encouraged to avoid Mall C due to the ongoing construction of the Medical Mart. Instead, police recommend fans use West 3rd Street or East 9th as alternative routes to the stadium.

Police say traffic officers will be watching and citing those who do not obey traffic laws related to pedestrians.

As a reminder police say jaywalking and walking on roadways are prohibited. Fans should use sidewalks and crosswalks when available.

The game will be broadcast on Channel 3.
