CINCINNATI -- An Ohio woman has admitted working a full shift at Burger King after fatally hitting a motorcyclist with her car and fleeing.
The Cincinnati Enquirer (http://cin.ci/RGuNR6 ) reports Brittany Ison was convicted Thursday of leaving the scene and vehicular manslaughter and homicide after pleading no contest.
Ison was driving on Interstate 75 during a rain storm on June 11 when her attorney says she accidentally hit 38-year-old Jason Claypool, who was riding a motorcycle.
Her attorney says Ison stopped to help but got scared, fled and drove to work before later turning herself in.
The 20-year-old Delhi Township woman could face up to three years in prison when she is sentenced Oct. 24. The Enquirer reports Ison would have faced six months in jail if she hadn't fled.
